Ok so I have a confession to make- I’ve been slightly neglecting my blog. Shhh. Not that I haven’t had a chance to be on the laptop or the internet, but because I’ve been slightly preoccupied.
So what is taking up all of my time you ask? Here’s the list of my latest obsessions:
- Adopting a pet- This is without a doubt probably my #1 obsession lately! I’ve been looking for a dog to adopt since last fall but didn’t want to rush into it and also wanted it to be the right breed. So on an almost daily basis I’m on every. single. site. you can think of searching for a dog in our area that would be a good fit for our family. Fingers crossed I think I may have found one but won’t know til I go see it tomorrow. :D
- Home improvements- Now that it’s spring there are soooo many projects to do around the house (ie. things that are falling apart that need fixed!) First on the list is a new shed-

Did I ever tell you about the time our shed blew away in a huge windstorm, ripped down a power line and crashed into the neighbor’s house?
Um yeah, so we desperately need one of those since we have nowhere to store our lawnmower, bikes, outside toys, etc. Also the privacy fence is in bad need of repair- and very important if we plan to adopt a dog! Plus the flower beds need tended to since they are way overgrown.

- Instagram- I love looking at everyone’s pretty pictures and it’s so quick and easy to post one of my own- so much easier than cropping and editing a pic for a blog post. ;) And way easier to look thru than my Twitter and Facebook feeds. You can see some of my pics at the bottom of the sidebar on the right or visit my Susie B. Homemaker Instagram page- I’d love more followers!
Of course those three things aren’t taking up my entire day, I am still a mom to 3 kids and also have to try to do laundry & dishes in there somewhere. ;p
